The Leaves, “Les Feuilles” is a delightful French cottage set in a pretty orchard in Poitou Charante.
With its own private swimming pool and natural setting it combines comfort and style, with peace and quiet.
The cottage has a wealth of space and character. Tall vaulted ceilings reveal original restored beams and beautiful exposed stonework. With two double bedrooms, bathroom, large open plan lounge/kitchen there is a wealth of space - the property easily sleeps up to five. The large enclosed garden features a new 10m (30ft) pool, generous lawn, poolside BBQ and patio area.
Situated along a quiet little lane, next to fields of sunflowers, the cottage gives you privacy, peace of mind, in an ideal location for exploring. Beyond the ancient walled garden the views look out across the beautiful French countryside where you’ll find many little villages and towns nearby, with bustling markets, quaint bars and restaurants. The natural beauty of the Charente and the historic city of Poitiers with its shopping, sightseeing and wine routes are a short hop in the car.
Close-by you can also sample the amazing flavours of Cognac and the wine regions of Bordeaux, the Loire Valley and the Dordogne. Closer still, you can visit the historic port of La Rochelle where you can combine a long, lazy-day on the beach with a visit to the amazing marina, aquarium, harbour, chic bars, restaurants and shops.
