Les Feuilles is set in a convenient location within easy reach of the Eurostar, ferry ports and local airports, yet far enough south to enjoy the warm, seasonal sunshine.
You can reach Les Feuilles using any one of three ferry ports, into Cherbourg, Caen or St Malo. The crossing into Cherbourg is under three hours from the UK. St Malo takes a little longer but it’s a little further south so it means you only have a three-hour drive to reach The Leaves. If you prefer a shorter crossing many guests prefer to use the Eurostar. By crossing in the morning and taking a leisurely drive southwest you arrive at The Leaves by teatime. The roads in France are generally far quieter than in the UK and the routes provide a great opportunity to visit places like Le Mans or Nantes. If you prefer to leave the car at home hiring a car from any one of the five nearby airports is very easy. The Leaves is easily reached with flights into Poitiers, La Rochelle, Limoges, Nantes or Bordeaux. Perhaps the easiest route is Poitiers, regular services are operated by Ryanair and the airport is under a 30-minute drive away.
Once you’ve arrived, the peaceful location gives you the opportunity to explore the beauty of French countryside whilst enjoying the warm seasonal weather. The Feuilles has a walled garden offering privacy and peace of mind. It is nestled along a quiet country lane offering easy access to nearby villages. Poitiers is around 30 minutes away, La Rochelle a little over an hour and the wine regions of Bordeaux are all easily reached in the car.
